Wade1998
Hello all, Just purchased a Benelli UltraLight 12 Gauge, great gun, but the drop is a bit off for me. I have read in the manual, how to replace the factory shims, however the rubber butt plate has no screw hole openings (I am an old Remington Owner). The manual recommends using a Philllips (Cross-Point) Screwdriver and to use vaseline or no chemical lubricant to remove the screws from the buttplate. Since there are no holes, and rather than take a guess and puncture several holes in the rubber buttplate/recoil pad does anyone have advices on how to remove this cleanly? I need to drop the adjustment a little and would like to replace the installed 'B' shim with the 'C' Shim. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TacticalKoala
The butt-plate is not held on by screws. See the lip on it. http://www.benelliusa.com/parts_and_accessories/recoil_pads.php
gotblika
There are 2 nipples screwed into the stock that the pad clips on to. It's kind of hard to get off. Don't try to pull the whole pad off a once, start pulling either the top or bottom do 1 nipple at a time.
