Benelli light load assembly came apart

Hi folks, this is my first thread. My SBEII has worked flawlessly for three years, no complaints. Recently it would not eject shells or pick up second shell. As per alot of recommendations on this forum a thorough cleaning would be in order. Last night I completely stripped the gun including the stock, recoil spring tube, and recoil spring. The gun was not very dirty. However i discovered my problem. The light load assemby had come apart. The spring, plunger, and end screw were floating around loose inside the recoil spring. With some minor repair to the female threads of the assemby I have the gun assembled and ready to fire. I welcome any comments/advice. This happened to any one else?
