CGR
My buddy has a SBE1 that fits me perfectly with the steepest drop shim in it. I was planning on buying a SBE2 and was going to buy one last night until I read here yesterday that the SBE2 doesn't have a shim that will allow for as much drop at heel as the SBE1. Can someone please verify this. I was suprised that Benelli would take a step backwards and offer less adjustability in this area on the new model. If it is true I will have to buy a SBE1, I need the drop. Also, I am planning on buying an M1 20GA and was wodering if it can be adjusted to have as much drop as the SBE1. I asked at the gun counter at Cabelas and they didn't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Drundel
nope that is incorrect. the D shim for the SBE1 is the same as the C shim for the SBE2.
CGR
Thank you Drundel, I called Benelli today and that is what they said also. I just was hoping someone with both would confirm it as I don't trust any company that much. I bought an M1 20GA today and the SBE2 with 26" barrels are on back order. I had to deal with the dealer I dealt with because of a trade in so I expect to have my black SBE2 in about a month. In the meantime I will play with the M1.
