M1/M2 Barrel Question

I was wondering if all M1 and M2 barrels are compatible without any mods, Thanks

Yes... and no...sort of.

 

The M! barrel will fit and operate perfectly on the M2 using the M2 forearm with out any problem at all.

 

The M2 barrel will fit on the M1 and operate properly but the M1 forearm needs modification to fit. The M2 forearm can be used on the M1 instead without any modification.

 

There's a thread on the forum showing how the M1 forearm needs to be modified.
