It's 18" barrel, factory one-piece 7 round tube, ghost loads, rifle sights, not ghost and etc I have a shotgun class coming up in a few months and wanted to get as framiliar as possible with my gun before hand. I just got a Mesa 6round sidesaddle for an m1 in, and I'm not sure about it now. For one, it's a tiny bit larger (height and width) than I would like, and it's a little heavier than I expected. On the m1 I need to watch weight, and this gun is already a piggy with the old style surefire forend on it. Up until a few minutes ago I was considering the Mesa 6 + a 4 round caddy. The issue with that is the caddy is sort of a gaming rig. If I ever need my shotgun, I don't really see having the time to belt loop up a caddy as well. I'm looking at the Raven/Ares clip on velcro holder and that looks like something I might want. So can anyone share personal experiences or preferences with velcro vs aluminum?
