So I was planning to hit the range at Miramar on Wednesday evening for a little last minute practice when I read in the paper this morning that the marines have closed the facility due to lead contamination. Apparently, the lead is traveling off of the leased property onto the unleased property. I'm bummed. This was my regular range, convenient to my house and a nice facility. I sure hope they get it opened back up . . .

After doing a search here, I see that two other options are Project 2000 and South Bay Rod and Gun club. Anywhere else? I'm looking for the scoop on Project 2000 that I can't get from their web site.

The site says they offer trap and five stand. How many courses? One of each? Is it typically pretty crowded or no? For reference, I could pretty much count on shooting a couple of rounds per hour at Miramar or even a little faster. Can I count on the same pace at P2000?

Web site says it's open till 9 on Wednesday. Is the five stand lighted and operating until then?

Thanks!
