HiCap Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 My 20 ga. Montefelto cautions against use of steel shot with the IM and F choke tubes. I bought some Kent tungesten loads and would like to use heavishot, but was cautioned against that. Any sage advice? HiCap Quote
tucker301 Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Typically, hevi-shot does best in the less constrictive tubes, but it will have no ill efects on full or modified chokes. Quote
Rock Hall Goose'n Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 For waterfowl I shoot Hevi Shot through a zero choke (no constriction). My handloads pattern very well. Use your improved cylinder choke and you will get great results. For turkey, I use an extended choke (full 0.695) & Hevi Shot # 6. Awesome killer patterns. I am a big fan of Hevi Shot. Quote
