i am a long time browning shooter auto 5's and golds also occasional 1100, most of my use is deer and turkey hunting, some dove looking for an all around gun, i also do some skeet a few times ayear, what bbl lenght and wood vs synthetic on recoil any info on these topics would be great thanks

Unless you're just crazy about wood finishes (and cracked stocks, worn finishes, etc.), synthetic is the best option.

 

Got mud on my SBEII's stock yesterday and simply held it over the side of the boat and let the lake water clean it off for me.

 

Given that you're primarily hunting deer and turkey, the 26" seems the logical choice to me.

If you hunted exclusively deer and turkey, with no wingshooting or clays, I'd say 24".
