Super Vinci Slide Pin (part no. 056X) Falls out when Disassebled

New owner of a Super Vinci. Went to shoot skeet this weekend and had malfunction as the slide release was not working right. Upon inspection the pin (part no. 056X) had fallen out when it was in the hard case. Actually found the pin when I got home but was wondering is this normal? CAn it fall out while assembled? Was not real happy.
