I bought the R1 with a walnut stock today.   I am having a shoulder surgery next week and I’m hoping a semi automatic action will reduce recoil enough to have me shooting by June and hunting here in California for the August deer season.  California requires that we hunt with non lead ammunition.   I currently reload the appropriate Barnes bullets for my bolt actions and I’m satisfied with the performance.   I was hoping to get advice on anything that might be unusual about loading for the R1, particularly with the Barnes bullets.  I hunt black tail deer, which are usually fairly small.  I am planning to experiment with the Barnes 130 gr TTSX.  I’m curious about seating depth?  Crimping?  Experience with that bullet or similar ones.  Thanks in advance for any info!
