shamrock12
Just picked up a new model year 2020 Montefeltro, 12 gauge, 28” barrel which is my second Benelli ? It was way overdue, but I finally got myself to order one this month. When I got home from my LGS, I was a bit surprised to see that the trigger guard is polymer. Has it always been that way? My other Benelli, a 2015 model, is a Sport II which has a metallic guard I believe. Also I noticed that the 28” barrel is noticeably shorter than the 30” barrel on my Sport II with the external choke removed. So With the bolt closed I measured exactly 30” on the Sport II but measured 27-5/8” on the Montefeltro instead of a true 28”. Not that it would make a huge difference but it has me wondering if this is common or if I’ve gotten a barrel that was made from the final and short stick from stock? Thanks in advance.
