Redeye
Hey, has anyone tried removing the magazine tube on a recently manufactured Montifeltro? I need to replace the follower, as the red plastic factory follower causes feeding issues. The parts schematic shows the tube as a single assembly along with the end-cap. Is there no way to remove the end-cap itself? If that is the case, then the magazine tube needs to be unscrewed from the receiver. According to Benelli, Lock-tite is applied to the threads before the tube is attached to the receiver, and heating is required to break it free. I've performed this operation in replacing the recoil springs on Beretta's, and it wasn't that hard to do. Has anyone tried this on the Benelli magazine tube? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
