Awayguy Posted December 28, 2020 Share Posted December 28, 2020 Hello, I have an older Nova. Been deer hunting with it for years. The slug barrel is made for the Nova but manufactured by Ithaca. This year I pulled it out of safe to test fire. The action seems almost stuck after every shot. I have to really pull hard on forearm to make it cycle. Doesn't seem to have any issues with feed or eject, just really hard to cycle. I've sprayed all moving parts with Rem-oil but no help. I am shooting a different round than usual. The federal/Barnes expander sabots are no longer available so I'm shooting Hornady SST now. Any ideas why I almost need to pull forearm with both hands to get it to cycle?
