I recently purchased a used 1992 (BB) M1 Super 90 which came with a black oxide finished locking head.  Per the Benelli Tech Support folks, early guns did in fact feature blackened locking heads rather than the more familiar hard chrome finish.  Does anyone know approximately what year this change occurred?   Thanks.
