Benelli Name Question

Bellringer

Recommended Posts

New member and potential new Benelli owner. I'm looking at both used and new and haven't figured out the syntax on names.

I see "Montefeltro Super 90" on some used guns or "M1 Super 90" but on the Benelli web page, there is nothing referenced a "Super 90". I'm assuming they dropped that name at some point in the past. I would like to understand what the Super 90 designation means when I see it on used guns.

Any help?

name calling,,hhmmm, the super 90 series comes from the 80s,,when Benelli's revised version from the old sl80 series came out.now halfway through this decade we have the m2 series designating the new series of Benellis,,,,as for super 90 ,,,they made there point in the 90s---seeya M1014 ;)
