take down problem

I own a M3 and clean it after each use. The problem that I run across is when I take it down to clean and put it back together, the barrel seems to stick about half way into the receiver and I have to knock at it to make it go in. Is it because it's a new gun (3 months) or am I doing something else wrong? The act of me knocking it really makes me nervous .

My nova does the same thing. I just drop the bolt back a little when I'm placing the barrel in the receiver, screw the barrel retaining cap on and close the bolt. It has gotten a little better once I started shooting it some.
