Peter B Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 I have recently purchased a 12 gauge Nova and was quite happy with its performance during the past Ontario turkey season. I am interested to hear from Nova users who have put a slug barrel on theirs. In addition to the barrel, do I need to purchase anything else? Do I have to purchase a cantilevered barrel? Also, I am interested to hear the opinions of those who have tried a red dot style sighting system on a slug gun. Thanks in advance for your responses. Peter Quote
Doctor Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 I don't have a Nova but i do shoot an 870 Remington that i mounted a Bushnell Trophy Red Dot. Best thing , and only thing i've ever done to that gun in 30 years of killing deer with it. Quote
amundsen Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 I have a Ithica sluged barrel for the nova and with a red dot love it. I get 1 to 1.2 inch groups at 100 yards. Quote
sharkman Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 The EOTechs are great sights! I have one on my AR-15 and on my 870. Super fast target acquisition. And they're tough as nails. Quote
Buddy Timothy Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 When you get the barrel, that is all you will need. There are no other parts that you will need to install the new barrel. It is simply a quick change out. Quote
