Nova Trigger Group Pin Question

I recently did a full breakdown cleaning for my 12 Gauge Nova for the first time since getting it. I put everything back together and noticed that both of the trigger group pins kinda protrude from the receiver. I put the longer pin in the hole closer to the barrel and was just wondering if it’s supposed to look like this?

Update, I managed to get them flush by simply just pushing them in with my finger and not using the tool. They seam pretty snug in there. Only thing I also noticed was the trigger area by the feeding port has a little gap. I believe this was always there but can I just get a confirmation this is normal?
