Lt3097
Can anybody fill me in on this issue ? I just got my M4 today and I noticed that the serial number on the barrel and the receiver are different. The box says it is a 11707 model and it is brand new....One choke came with the gun. It has m4LE on the right side of the receiver below the ejection port. Is there something amiss here ? I saw an earlier post where someone was doing a survey ????? STA
See my response in the other thread. Yours has a high serial for the barrel, yet possibly an older serial for the receiver. Check the two letter date code on your receiver to see when it was made.
Lt3097
REceiver serial number has 4 numbers 9253 > I assume the receiver was made in 92 ?
STA
No the serial does not clue in to the date. Look for a two letter code stamped (if I recall) on the left side of the lower receiver bevel somewhere above the trigger. These follow the Beretta date codes. BP = 2001 BS = 2002 BT = 2003 BU = 2004 BZ = 2005
Lt3097
Mine is a BU code so it was made in 2004.
