The M-3 bolt group does not have a "tail" (part 027a, "link"). The M-1 bolt group does have a "tail."

 

If you remove the tail (which is held in by a type of punch pin), can the M-1 bolt be used in an M3?

 

Also, have any of you other Benelli M-3 shotgun owners tried shooting Aguila 12ga 2 1/2", BuckShot 11 pellets Minishells? If so, how did they work/not work?
