Obernow
I have experienced numerous problems with the recoil pad on my new M2 (JUNE 07). I CHANGED STOCK SHIMS ONCE I RECIEVED THE GUN WHEREBY YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE RECOIL PAD. FIRST TIME THE RECOIL PAD WENT MISSING WAS ON THE WI DUCK OPENER, WE DID FIND IT IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOAT. NEXT CAME ON A WI GROUSE HUNT TWO WEEKS LATER, AGAIN AFTER SOME CAREFUL BACKTRACKING WE FOUND IT. NOW FOR THE REAL KICKER. SD PHEASANT HUNT THURSDAY OCT 25, LESS THAN ONE HOUR INTO THE HUNT CATTAIL MARSH ROOSTERS FLYING EVERYWHERE, T-SHIRT WEATHER, PULL UP FIRE TWICE ONE ROOSTER AND ONE DARN SORE SHOULDER. YOU GUESSED IT RECOIL PAD IS GONE AGAIN AND NOW LOST FOR GOOD. MANUFACTURING FLAW? ENGINEERING FLAW? THIS IS A LEFT HAND MODEL SO NOT SURE IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM? GOING TO SD AGAIN ON 5 NOVEMBER, BENELLI CS RESPONDED VERY WELL AND ARE SENDING OUT A NEW RECOIL PAD PRIORITY!! BENELLI CS RECOMMENDED WIPING THE PAD DOWN WITH RUBBING ALCOHOL AND EVEN ROUGHING IT UP SOME FINE GRIT SANDPAPER. I ALWAYS TRAVEL WITH 2 GUNS THANK GOODNESS THE BERETTA OVER UNDER WAS ALONG.
