IdahoDucker Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 It's been great here near Phoenix. Had to buy the nonres license but that's the way it goes if you want to hunt while you're away from home. Limits by 9:00 for three days so far. Supposed to be white wings down here as well as the eurasians but we've only got mournings so far. Found a lightly used Ultra Light last week, wow that is one sweet shotgun. Quote
IdahoDucker Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 You missed it. Only have 20 birds left in the freezer out of the 90 we got. Early season here is over but quail opens the 3rd of October. Quote
splashtx556ftw Posted October 18, 2008 Author Posted October 18, 2008 there are not many quail around ft worth due to the fireants.we have to go out west where its sandy for them. Quote
IdahoDucker Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 That's new to me. What is it about fire ants that keeps quail away? I'd assume the quail would eat them. Quote
