CraigL
I have always been told that you want the wad to seperate from the shot quickly. The Federal Flight Control Wad does just the opposite? It just seems the longer that wad is there the more the shot is vulnerable to a drift. Any opinions?
Liberty or death Jr.
I used some in a full choke, they patterned pretty well, but I think there are much better choices, like the Winchester high density extended range.
mudhen
I think maybe Federal knows more than you The Flight Control wads throw some wicked patterns in some of my guns. They tend to prefer no ports on the choke or long slotted ports,
CraigL
No doubt, thats a great pattern. When I tried them I experienced the same type of holes, almost like the shot went in at an angle.

HOGWILD
Federal HW do use Flight control wads in their HW turkey ammo only bird shot rounds do not use it. Primos uses the fluted tubes for turkey rounds, https://shop.primos.com/pc-851-78-jelly-head-choke-tube-12-ga-benelli-sbe-ii.aspx is that better! my bad! mudhen
Federal does not use Flight control wads in their HW turkey ammo only bird shot rounds use it. You are incorrect. It's red and made from pretty thick plastic. Travels a long way too - sometimes it hits the patterning board.

Liberty or death Jr.
I guess it depends on the gun, and the choke, but I don't get that far into it. That is why you are here Mud.
