Please explain this to me like I'm stupid: 1) What are those springs? I presume to retain tension so it's not floppy? This tells me you can mount lights, but not lasers, correct? 2) I am presuming this strips by removing the barrel retention nut, then sliding the barrel out, pistons and all, no muss no fuss? 3) when installed, does the barrel touch the rail, or just the receiver/front barrel hanger? 4) Does this "drop in" for older models without modification, and if not, what needs changed?

It had acquired surface rust and pitting and when I got it I realized only way to get all the pitting out was to strip it sand it polish it. Plus the finish was gone in places already. I just couldn't afford to have it hot blued once finished. But I actually recently sold this to a family friend. Ended up getting $600
