  1. I've heard many mention about cleaning the semi-auto's really well once you take them out of the box. The manufacturing grease is thick and needs to be cleaned. What is the proper way to clean it....should I just get a cloth and wipe down the action? Do I need to disassemble the action fully (firing pin, etc.)?

    Thanks!

  2. Would it be wise to put some rust proofing oiling on the inside of the stock? Before each season? This way if any moisture gets inside it wont rust out any parts.

How about installing one of those silica pads in the stock to trap any moisture?

I think Im going to go with the Benelli 14" Pad. I'm a small guy so that is why I need the shorter LOP.

    Thanks!

  3. I'd like to purchase a Steel Choke for the SBEII. I'd like one that gives me a good range...40yards. Can anyone recommend a good choke that they know works well on a SBEII.

So far I have heard good things about the Carlsons Chokes. I was thinking of getting the CRIO 12G Full Choke .695 or the EXTENDED RANGE Steel Choke .695 for waterfowl and the CRIO 12G Turkey Choke .685 or the EXTENDED TURKEY chokes .665 for Turkey.

Are these good choices? Would I be better off staying with the CRIO chokes? Any opinions would be much appreciated!

I'm so excited about this new SBEII....2 more days for Goose Opener!!! :D

  4. I like the idea of a 13 1/2" LOP anything in between that and under 14" ... I'm on the Brownells site now but not sure which Kickeez pad I'm suppose to get. Unsure about the size. Anyone want to help a confused fellow LOL.

    thanks for all the help

  5. What would be a good pad to put on the SBEII ... I need something that is at least 1/2" - 3/4" shorter. I like the design of the benelli recoil pad, how it has the rounded angled top so that it does not interfere with the clothing when raising the gun. Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

  6. I have a 2003 Benelli Super Black Eagle Ducks Unlimited - Limited Edition and it is stamped DU07151. How can I find out how many of these Ducks Unlimited - Limited Editions were made? If anyone has any information or can help me out, I would really appreciate it. I'm trying to sell my Benelli and would like to give the buyer as much info as possible.

    Thanks!

  7. I'm selling my SBE Black Synthetic Stock/Forend(not the whole gun). It is coming off of a 2003 Ducks Unlimited SBE. The Black Synthetic Stock/Forend is in Immaculate Conidtion. My Reason for selling is because I want to purchase the Walnut Stock/Forend for my SBE. For any information please contact me at [email protected]

    Thanks!

  8. The problem with cutting the synthetic stock is if I cut 1" then the holes where the pad screws go will be gone therefor I wont be able to put the pad on. Does anyone know where I can get just a flat thin pad for the SBE?

    Thanks

  9. I have a SBE Synthetic and I need to shorten the stock by 1" however I was told that it cannot be done without doing any major custom work to the stock. I absolutely need it shortened by at least 1"...1.5" would probably be best.

Has anyone cut a synthetic stock on a SBE before? Any information on cutting Synthetic Stocks would be much appreciated.

The gunsmith I spoke to said he can do it but he will have to do some custom work to it. He said I'll have to pay $200CDN if he needs to put a new pad on.

    Thanks!

  10. What exactly do the shims do? I know I have to cut my stock about 1" maybe a bit more since the stock is way too long. Do I need to do anything with the shims? Do the shims actually effect accuracy of the gun? You mention the gun is shooting high and once you ajusted the shims it was a bit better...is the accuracy off because of the way the gun is sitting in your arms? Any info would be very much appreciated!

  11. Well I finally got my SBE over the weekend and I love it! Ill be sure to start breaking in the shotgun once I get the gun registered...although it take 2 weeks :( . Its like putting candy under a childs nose and telling them they have to wait 2 weeks to have it ;)

Anyways thanks for the advice and I look forward to having fun with the Benelli!
