    2004 M1

Yes it changes (M2 I think?) No, its not available. Haven't seen anything on what the new features, if any, are. However there are pictures of the new SBE and M2 in the media section of Benelli's site.. http://www.benelliusa.com/media/Benelli/products.tpl
  2. Well, that probably depends. Did they special order it from their warehouse? Or do they have a distributor they use? Or do they purchase directly from Benelli? Is the gun in stock at any of the 3 locations previously listed? Are there solar flares that day? Will Bass Pro have the gun delivered at the same time as an additional order to save on shipping? There are probably too many unknowns to answer really. Figure they'll choose the cheapest shipping method for cost reasons, so 5-7 days to arrive. And 1-2 days at Bass Pro for processing internally. Add in 1-2 days at Benelli if the product is currently in-stock (you wouldn't believe how delayed internationally made items can be after 9/11). This is all conjecture of course. You might call customer service and ask them what their average turn-around time is for an ordered item once the order is received. I'd say under two weeks would be good turn-around for a special order.
  3. Well, you could use the edit feature. =)
  4. After lurking here a week...I don't think their support folk peruse the forums. It's unfortunate but you'd probably be better off simply calling customer support or talking to a local gun shop that carries Benelli. [ 12-23-2003, 01:05 PM: Message edited by: Danger Mouse ]
  5. Well, my father-in-law has drug me hunting often enough now that I'm looking at purchasing my own gun. To start, I'm a shotgun idiot. I know how to work the saftey, shoot target, not point the barrel at other people, and the differenct between Pump, O/U, and Automatic. I'm looking for something to mainly hunt Pheasant with, but may move beyond that later if I find I really enjoy hunting beyond spending time w/ friends and family. All three of these guns are comfortable for me to shoulder. They're fairly comparable in price range and from what I understand, reputation as well. From a technical merit I'd like to know what would make one or the other more reliable over time (isn't that what everyone asks?), as well as which one does the better job of not donkey kicking your shoulder. Beyond that, I keep hearing about things like drop and shims, and recoil reducers and, and, and... Does a recoil reducer unbalance a gun? I'd started looking at the Montefeltro, but like the options on the M1 better but they both feel 'comfortable' to shoulder & swing. The same goes for the Teknys. I'm not really looking for someone to trash another product, just why you think one would be better than the other. I know there are some people who have probably had terrible experiences with both brands and/or models which is unfortunate but I've seen $100 T.V.'s last 3 years, and $500 ones blow up when you plug them in. In the end its luck of the draw, just some brands have more 'luck' than others. Thanks, Danger Mouse
