  1. shell waster, I'd second the vote for Terror Tubes made by the Sure Cycle company. I'm next in line to purchase one, as many of my waterfowling buddies have already done. They're reasonably priced at $60. I'd like to purchase 2 of them.....one for waterfowl and one for predator hunting. There's a lot of talk about the Terror Tubes on the Refuge Forums. http://refugeforums.com/refuge Good hunting, Bowhunter57
  2. Does anyone know if the Steady Grip is being made or is going to be made for the Nova? I'd like one of these on my Nova, if possible. Good hunting, Bowhunter57
  3. hugh, I've owned 835s. They're reliable, but always seemed to pattern low....12" at 35 yards. I was able to "cure" this problem by adding a cheek pad on the stock. However, I now own a Nova and wouldn't trade it for an 835. My Nova has a smoother pumping stroke, is easier to disassemble for cleaning and cost less. The rattling forarm is the least of my concerns. If it is a concern for anyone, then take the forarm off and use some rubber cement (Shoe Goo works well) on a thin piece of felt (cut to fit the inside of the forarm) and press it into the forarm until it dries. The rubber cement will adhere to both the felt and the interior of the forarm, making a formed fit. If there is any excess, just trim it off with a razor knife, reinstall the forarm and make sure you get the allen screws snug. This will eliminate any rattling and it won't interfere with the slide action of the pump. Good hunting, Bowhunter57
  4. I agree with you Mossberg Man! I'd like to have one for my Nova. I'd use it for everything. I like the way a pistol grip assists you in pointing the weapon. I've got half a notion to purchase a M-4. Good hunting, Bowhunter57
  5. Snood Slapper, Like Mossberg Man says, Ithaca makes a rifled cantalever barrel for the Nova and their retail price is $199. However, the same barrel can be purchased at Cabelas for $149. As for camo....I'd "rattle can" it. Purchase some quality paint, like Rust-O-Leum, in the colors you prefer and go for it. Stensils of all types can be purchased at your local Wal-Mart. This might sound like a "half-baked" idea, but that might depend on how well you can paint. I've done it many times on guns, bows, boats, etc. and if you take your time preparing the surfaces, spray light coats at a time, and give it time to dry in between coats you should be fine. Ohhh....don't forget the clear coat to protect your work. Good hunting, Bowhunter57
  6. Thank you for the information, gentlemen! I certainly will be giving Ithaca a call and/ or seeing if their barrel is available through Cabelas or not. The cantalever rifled barrel is exactly what I was wanting. This will keep me from investing in a muzzleloader....which I wasn't real interested in doing anyway. Good hunting, Bowhunter57
  7. It's been over 2 weeks since I posted this question. As a message board this is an embarrasing lack of attention by the moderators and the promoters. Good hunting, Bowhunter57
  8. Can any of you gentlemen tell me if the M4 comes with a slug barrel option? I've had a post up for 2 weeks that I can't get a response to concerning a rifled slug barrel for my Nova and I'm looking at purchasing another shotgun if I can't get one for my Nova. Thank you, Bowhunter57
  9. At the very least, would the moderators of this message board have an answer to this question? Thank you, Bowhunter57
  10. wingmasterkid, As birddog said, "whatever fits". If a shotgun doesn't fit YOU, it could cost $10,000 and you still won't shoot it any better than another shotgun that only costs $350. The Wingmaster is a far cry better shotgun than it's "cousin" the Express, but there are so many other issues with Remington's quality control, service, etc. that I refuse to invest any more of my time or money in their weapons. I've owned the Wingmaster and Express models and when I purchased my Benelli Nova it was such a breath of fresh air to not have any problems with it, that I'm totally sold on Benelli products. Good luck with your choices! Good hunting, Bowhunter57
  11. josh, I own a Benelli Nova and have never had any problems with it. I would highly recommend this shotgun to anyone. If you're looking for a more moderately priced semi-auto shotgun, then take a look at the Russian Baikal (pronounced: bay-call) MP-153. I own one of these shotguns and it performs flawlessly and it only cost $325.00 + tax. It has the same features as the more expensive auto-loaders: chrome-lined bore, 24" or 26" or 28" barrel lengths, wood or synthetic stocks, it comes with 3 choke tubes and the gas operating system is adjustable for light to heavy hunting loads. www.eaacorp.com The MP-153 appeals to a lot of different shooters, because it fits simularly to the Remingtons. I've had my share of problems (quality control, service, etc.) with Remingtons and will never be purchasing any of their weapons in the future. Good luck with your choices! Good hunting, Bowhunter57
  12. sweetm, If the rattling really bothers you, then take the forearm off and line it with very thin piece of felt, using a rubber cement type adhesive. When you reinstall the forearm be sure to tighten the allen screws well. A hunting buddy of mine did this with his Nova and it worked well without interfering with the cycling action of the pump. Good hunting, Bowhunter57
  13. Does Benenlli make a cantalever rifled slug barrel for the Nova? If so, what's the going price for one with camo? If not, who makes one? Thank you, Bowhunter57
