  1. ...serial number is M232xxx. 1) is this pre ban? NO! I saw on the net somewhere that a guy had a M19833X and that was manufactured 9/19/94. I am pretty sure that yours is post ban. Call Benelli customer service and get the exact date for yourself. 2) the gun has no boxes or papers and the muzzle is unthreaded, no chokes. Is this normal? all the info I have found on the net and speaking to benelli is that the gun should have had a threaded muzzle and choke tubes. I am not sure it is nromal, but some barrels were manufactured like that. You could always buy another barrel that has tubes, but obviously that adds to your cost. If you really want the shotgun then use this as a negotiation point to offer a lower price.
  2. Check your Personal Messages - I sent you a couple of questions. Thanks
  3. I spent some more time on this site and it looks like my M1 has Standard choke tubes and these should be easily ordered from a parts supplier. Hopefully, that is the case. Jeff
  4. I have an M1S90 with the black choke tubes (Type II). This are black finshed and have the screw threading that runs all the way to the muzzle end of the choke tube. There is a Type I choke tube that is silver finished with the screw threading that does not run all the way to the end of the choke tube. My Montefeltro S90 has the Type I choke tubes. I call Benelli to see how to acquire some additional Type II choke tubes and the customer representative wasn't even familair that there are two types. She asks her supervisor and he says that they are interchangable. My manual clearly states that these tubes are NOT interchangable. I haven't called the parts suppliers that they recommended, but if Benelli is not aware of the difference will these companies know or have both types? Can someone give me a contact at Benelli or Beretta that can address my requests or has knowledge on the subject. After several calls this is becoming a frustrating experience. Thanks, Jeff
