Optional item for the shotguns. They can be purchased from the Benelli's site store for $40.00 plus shipping(workes the same for all 20-12 ga.).I find that the necessary break down of tha shot gun to fit in the case is time consuming. Best, Robert

Make sure that the shell is pushed down and forward on the carrier while the slide is released. My "older" SBE will take the 3 1/2" shells
while my newer 20 ga. Montrefeltro will only take 2 3/4" shells

The barell is very poorly coated. My SBE and Montrefeltro (20ga.) need to be coated(rust preventative) and cleaned with each use. Benelli should do a better job in this area. Any suggestions? Best, Robert

Try for the Montrefeltro in a 24-26". I realy like the ease of operation/ cleaning, wood and light weight, 5.5 Lb. I purchased mine online at www.Gunbroker.com for $500.00 used, with case and chokes. Best, Robert

Will only load a 2-3/4" shell on bolt carrier. 3" is too long. Best, Robert

I have not been there, but I have heard that they are useful when the birds are hot and heavy. I am planning on one for my 20. The 4 shot extension is already on the SBE and I love it!!. Great for all non hunting restricted events (Crows and Jays disagree). Best, Robert

Montrefeltro is slightly lighter and it holds 4 rounds in longer forearm rather than 3 . I went with the Montrofeltro, wood rather than plastic. Best, Robert

It is the rear cross grove on the bottom of the bolt. There are only two, the rear one os about 3/8" simi-circle across rear about 1"from end. May be others can post picture. Now for the 4 shot extension. One in the chamber, one on the boltcarrier, and eight? up the tube?= 10. Best, Robert

Yes, I just filled in the rear slot in the bolt and works just like my Benelli SBE!(which is missing this slot) Just added another round 5+1=6 Total. Best, Robert

Hevi-shot is superior to all others in my opinion. Unlike steel, chose one or two sizes smaller than what you would with lead. Best, Robert

Cheaper than Dirt has only two items. one is for the Winchester 1300 and the other is for a over the end of the stock. Which one did you purchnase that replaces the original? Best, Robert

Recomendations from experience needed for machine(s) to reload for my SBE and Montrefeltro 20 ga. Low to moderatly priced and who sells them. Would also like to do some rifle/pistol (.308 win./9mm,.40SW) reloading if practical/possible. Power/primmer/wads advice also needed. Best, Robert

They also make a "youth" stock which is shorter and the gun is therefore lighter. Best, Robert
