  1. killing 15 deer in a season would convince me.
  2. kudos for noticing the problem, i must have let a dozen ducks fly away cause i didnt have action all the way closed. now i just let it slam shut but in a tight sopt turkey hunting or something it could be a problem. its an annoying problem to have, let me know if you find a way to make the breech twist easier. Thanks
  3. yeah, thats the one thing i dont like about the gun, you have to put every shell in the chamber before you can eject it. but its still a sweet gun. and when you close the action it should go down and then your ready to shoot.
  4. the little tab with the red dot is the button to hold the action back. if you push it in and it will click and then the action will stay back when you pull it so it is easier to load your first shell. then push the little black button on the side to close it and it will shut. then load the rest of your shells in the bottom. hope this helps.
  5. I am also in the market for a new shotgun. i found looking at the companies web sites to find the msrp of most guns really narrowed my search a lot. especially if your on a tight budget. some sites i recommend are obviously the benelli site, remington.com, mossberg.com, browning.com, and beretta.com. this may seem obvious but if you really dig into the info, this can help a lot.
  6. thanks for the input, i think i am gonna go with a remington 700 chambered in .223 i found at Gander Mountain today. its cheap to shoot and with the dent that this gun and scope is gonna make in my checkbook, i need the cheapest ammo i can find. thanks a ton to all that helped.
  7. i usually hunt outside of timber and try to call them out in the open so my shots arent that far. i wouldnt set up more than 80 yards or so away from where i am hoping that they will come from. its also pretty open terrain so in a couple of instances i could need a little more distance on my shots.
  8. since the people here seem to be pretty knowledgable about all kinds of hunting i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a good gun to hunt coyotes and other things that are far far away. i was looking into a .223 or .243 anything bigger i think would ruin any coyote pelt. any suggestions?
  9. i also get jams whenever i shot cheap loads out of my sbe, i found that if you just fill it with inhibitor which is just something to prevent rust it works pretty good as a lubricant also.
