  1. Yes I have been having problems also. I loaded up three rounds of kent matrix 3 inch. I shot two rounds and the third did not feed properly into the chamber.

I also have problems releasing the matrix from the magazine when I down load.

  2. It is just the packaging greese and the weapon should be cleaned when you first get it. Its nothing to worry about I use clp also but u should try MPRO 7 its bio friendly and does not hurt the finish or your guns.

Mpro 7 comes in many types, there is clp, a type of cleaner spray that wont hurt ur finish and the gel cleaner for copper in barrels but this can hurt ur finish.

  3. Just pull off the pad from your Nova from one end and then up. Remember you need the bracket to screw in and it only goes one way you will see its simple. There are only 2 screws but your going to need a long screw drive to reach inside.

In the bracket towards the end of the stock there is a opening where you put in the recoil reducer. A piece of round rubber like hose that comes with the reducer is needed. Once you have added the reducer cut the rubber hose to fit tightly in the left over play. close the cover and put your pad back on. There you go!!!

  4. :)You can remove the entire assembly without taking the charging handle off to a point. What I did was take bolt out of shotgun and used a tool that I use for my AR15 which is just a push out tool that does not mark up area. You can use something similar and push out from the opposite side of the charging handle. After you do this then pulling the handle off at first is much easier.

  5. I dont know about you but if you need to bend something to make it work there is a problem. I have no problems loading and unloading. Read your manual make sure you assembled your gun correctly. Its important to know your weapon prior to the hunt. Take it out to the trap range a few times and take it apart enough when cleaning and you will be familar.

I have owned and shot many shotguns but I found it is important to read your manual and be familar with the product you will use in the field.

    Good luck..

I heard a rumor some months ago that comfortech recoil pads would be available for the Nova. I haven't managed to find any, yet. Does anyone know if they exist, and if so, where I could get my hands on two of them? Thanks.

    Sam

:D The gel pad on the SBE II will fit on your nova. You can purchase the pad throug www.brownells.com, thats where I bought mine for my nova.

You should check out the DVD called water dog this is a updated version of water dog the book by richard walters. I would also recomend the book, British training for american retrievers by Vic Barlow it has many good ideas.

smile.gif A E-collar can be a good tool or cause a serious diaster when not used properly. I know a person whos dog was trained by a Professional trainer friend of mine and the dog was a obediant retrieving machine. Well the owner used a collar to correct so called problems and now the dog is no longer a great retriever. I use one as only an extenison of the leash. I use the inotek retriever trainer. Sport dog makes a good collar.

She does a pretty good job. She is taking lines pretty well on blinds, and marks fairly well. She just loves to hunt which to me is the most important part. She is only about 50 pounds, and a lot of these geese are a bit big for her to handle, but she'll drag them by the wing to bring them back. She also saves me a lot of money in shells and effort by chasing down wounded birds. Great tool to have when hunting near water also.

:D She sure is beautiful and sounds like a great dog with lots of drive for the game. If she still drags those big geese to you well thats a great dog who does not give up.

I thought this would be a great place to ask questions about dog training. I just got a black lab pub he is 7 weeks old. I have never trained my own dog. I was wondering at what age should I start training and if anyone knows of any good books, web sites or training aids that might be helpful. Thanks

smile.gif I will be training my second lab, I would recommend the book, "British Training For American Retrievers as a second source but I started out with the DVD called Water Dog. It is the same title Water Dog the Book that is a little out dated but has its basics and does work. The DVD Water dog is much more up to date. You better hurry and get started reading and watching those training videos.

I've done better wingshooting the past two weekends then ever before, and this gun just tosses the shells extremely fast. I'm usually through my three before I know it. Here are the results of one day of goose hunting with some friends.
