  1. i bought mine back in 99 or 2000 . .after using an m1 super 90 field for a few years . .SBE stock cut to 13 inch lop . .and 24 inch barrel, synthetic stock .i like em shorter for shooting from a sitting position out of a pond box or barnegat bay sneakbox gunnin ducks (small lay down boats and blinds) . . .it has spent 24 hours under brackish water . . .abour 10 minutes under fresh water been encrusted with frozen spray (so was my dog and me) and i swam with it (australian crawl) in salt water after boat got swamped . .barrel has rusted a bit . .been scotch brited to get some rust off . .painted with duck boat paint, machine shop blasted down to metal and finally re-blued in matte at my local gunsmiths . . .so . .after all that . .i'm figuring the stickers gotta be an improvement and i'm not really touchy about the finish any more since it's been through **** and back . .i love it and won't ever trade or sell this one
  2. I use a ported patternmaster for geese on my SBE . .stock cut to 13.25 inches and barrel is 24 inches . .no complaints about loudness and it really takes the sting out of those 3.5 inch loads for me. [ 03-01-2005, 07:55 AM: Message edited by: blackduck ]
  3. OK i just found that the 20ga. nova has 2 lips inside the stock thus it seems that it can be cut shorter than 13 inches
  4. Thanks Tucker . . .good stuff
  5. The SBE has been a waterfowlers favorite for years and it took until recently to get a real waterfowling camo on these guns (no offense to you guys lucky enough to hunt flooded timber) . . . . .advantage wetlands i think? . . still have not seen one on dealer's shelves yet . . .if it is like their other camo guns, the colors fade as someone pointed out above . .Mossy oak shadow grass would be nice . . .max 4 HD too . . .12 gauge Nova is too bulky and heavy

    Gun Stickers

where can i get those sporting gun stickers like Tom Knapp has on his benellis? . .ya know . .the one that goes on the side of the barre; . .i even think i saw other sized ones for the but stock . .the web site and catalog both have no reference to them . . .I saw Tom Knapp a couple years ago at the "Ocean County Decoy and Gunning Show" here in NJ and he had a bunch of em on the benelli display table . . .i should have snagged a couple then [ 03-01-2005, 07:35 AM: Message edited by: blackduck ]
  7. advertised as 13 inches and catalog, as well as web site indicates that the stock can be shortened . . .can i infer from this that i can have my gunsmith shorten it? . . .when i wanted to have my 12 gauge nova done . .my gunsmith indicated that cutting the stock would also cut away the ridge insidde the stock to which the but pad locks into much like a tupperware lid . . . my boy just turned 11. He got his hunting license at 10yrs old . .even the 13 inch youth guns are a bit of a stretch for an average 10 yr. old I believee some manufacturers have already realized this and started offering youth guns with a LOP between 12.5 and 12.75 inches.
