  1. Long shot,

I have the same problem. Some manufacturers put a gel pad behind the trigger guard. Tucker gave you some ideas. I went to Walgreens and found a gel product that it is used to protect an injured toe. You can cut the top off and slide it on your finger. The product will give some protection.

  2. CSVT99,

If you have a good gun shop close to you, I would check them out. We have one about one hour away from Little Rock. We took our SBElls to the shop and they worked on our forcing cones and allowed us to pattern our shotgun using their custom-made chokes. We used their ammo....even hevi-shot. The price on their custom chokes was $60. I got one for turkey hunting and one for duck hunting.

  3. Weim Hunter,

I'm fairly new to duck hunting... I did shoot my first pintail last year. I had to have it mounted. I just started green timber hunting and to see the greenheads circle and and then commit.....coming down through the timber is something that I always will remember.

  4. Mowaterfowler,

You sure that there was not something else causing the duck to flare? We had a 4 wheeler back in the timber and had to fully cover it with camo. The 4 wheeler was green and we covered the front and rear lights but they still flared. When we finally covered the entire 4 wheeler no problem..we got 20 that day. Everybody had different types of camo and the ducks did not seem to notice.

  5. I agree. I use MOBU but I am in need of new waders. The Cabella waders do not come in MOBU. I guess what your saying is the camo is more for the person than the ducks. I do use a face mask. At least this year, I was only in a blind once. The ducks were so blind shy that we were in edges of timber or on buckets in water in the coffee beans that were left in the fields. We really had to blend in well and good camo was an important factor.

  6. I had the same problem wth my SBE2. Go to Walgreens and ask to see protective bandages for injured toes. They have gel bandage that you can cut the top off and slide on your finger. It's not the best but it certainly gives you some protection.

  7. Yes, I was using shooting gloves. I did find a product at Walgreens. It is a gel filled bandage for your toes. You just cut the top off and slip it on your finger. Works fine... In reading other forums, some shotguns have a gel pad behind the trigger guard.

  8. After a couple of very great duck hunts, my finger behind the trigger guard became sore from all the shooting. I thought I saw a post where someone recommended some type of gel ring product that you could buy at Walgreens. Did I see the post on this forum or was I dreaming?
