  1. Manufacturing DEFECT of SHELLS Sometimes a box of shells is bad. So it may be a totally bad brand or you might have gotten a bad box, try some other shells of a different brand, or try a new box of the same stuff. I've seen this happen before. Just like sometimes some shells don't fire when the firing pin hits the primer.
  2. Go for the 26". I just bought Benelli SBE II 26" and that's what everyone else I know shoots. It's right between 24" and 28" so it's a perfect compromise. Like they said above, it's better for being in tight quarters liked blinds. Now a longer barrel will give you better swing on shots.....but not that much better.....especially if your a good shot. So I suggest getting a 26". I've used mine for duck, geese, pheasant, and grouse hunting, from lay down blinds in open fields to close quarters in dense hardwoods, to cornfields, so it works great. That's what I'd get.
  3. No - Winchester Expert You have to have some good shot, and Winchester Expert is nice and cheap, but not so good. Try some Federal Premiums, those work good. And add more lead, you need a LOT more for passing shooting. When there dropping right in on you though, shoot low when there coming down, and above them if there rising. And if there coming right in, shoot them in the lips. Good hunting.
  4. Benelli's are the BEST. I've shot everything from SP-10's, to 1100's to Extrema's and everything in between. All of them were heavy and gas operated, which made them jam if not cleaned properly. My brother has had his Benelli SBE for 2 years and never had a problem, it's jammed once or twice, but cleaning fixed it. I've owned a Benelli SBE II for a month now and LOVE IT. It hasn't had ONE PROBLEM. But I made sure to "Degrease" it first. Three of my friends have Benelli's, one is an SBE and the other two are SBE II that were bought earlier this year. NONE of THEM have had any problems. The fact that they bought them all had a lot to do with how well they saw my brother's and other of our friend's Benelli's work. What you AMMO you shoot plays a big, big part. Make sure your shooting good name brand ammo and you'll be ok. Secondly keep your gun clean. After that, it's up to God. So do those two things and your gun should work great. All I can say is I love Benelli, and from South Dakota pheasant hunting, to frigid MN cold goose and duck hunting with water and snow and mud, I've always been continually impressed with how Benelli's keep working. It's the best Auto Loading Gun out there, PERIOD.
  5. I run a "BoreSnake" cleaning rope thru my shotgun. Is it ok to do with the chokes out of the barrel or will it ruin the threads of the barrel???
  6. I just bought a Benelli SBE II and found out that the lower swivel stud on the buttstock is too thick for an average sling swivel. Does anyone know how to fix this?
