Ok, sounds like the 26" is the way to go here. And yes, I do hunt upland as well, so the shorter swing should come in handy there too. Thanks guys.

I weld at work with a MiG all day, but I would suggest you get it welded with someone who can TiG (Tungsten inert gas). If you've ever seen the show "American Chopper" you have seen a TiG welder in action. TiG is excellent for Aluminum, and yes.....it is very tricky. But if it's done properly, you won't even be able to tell it was repaired.

Nice rig. Is that just a Jon Boat?

The only ones I don't eat are Mergansers. My Dad gave me a killer Spice Duck recipie, just take your Tagament before eating.

I live on the great lakes, so we get to mix it up pretty good. We have had some good luck around here on chopped cornfields about 3 or 4 miles from the major rivers, and the big water. Geese enjoy the fields as well, which makes for a really good day.

I'm fairly new to duck hunting, but I enjoy it enough to get a SBE II. My only uncertainy is which barrel length to get. I guess the price doesn't really matter if it's only going to be a difference of a hundred dollars or so. What's everyone think?
Which barrel length should I get?

I bought the 26" yesterday. Still haven't shot it yet, but hopefully after this weekend I'll get some trigger time in.
