  1. the benelli chokes will not hold light to the rhino, and the kicks is a tadd bit better, but nothing to write home about. I'm doing some work on the sbe2, and should be ready to pattern, when the weather breaks, will let you know the results.
  2. thanks for your reply. it's good to here some-one who tells it, like it is. I to love my sbe11, and like you say, 40 yds or less, you can't beat it. compared to some of the other pics. that I've seen on this site, I should be really happy. but I guess a turkey hunter, is never truly happy. if you want to e-mail me, I would like to talk to ya bout hunting. my e-mail is [email protected] Today 02:53 AM

  4. I keep seeing these guys post of devastating patterns out to 60+yds. I have tried almost every choke / shell combo ( including the fomous rhino 660) in my sbe2. I have one combo of some special re-loads and a kicks 655, that gives me 372 pellets in a 9" circle at 35 yds. thats devastating but add another 10 yds, and its a difference of night and day. the bore size of my gun, is 719, I tried to get a good friend of mine to back bore my barrel to 735-740, but he said no way. the 2nd time I ask him, he said he would for 10,000 dollars and smiled. if benelli would offer a barrel with a larger bore size, I would buy it yesterday. I have e-mailed benelli, but have not got a response, so that's why I went and bought a new sx3 that I 'm getting dialed in now. what are your thoughts???
  5. can someone tell me if the bore size on the supernova is as undersized as the se11 ?
  6. can someone tell me the bore size of the supernove?
  7. thanks for your responses, thus far, AS I have said before, I have spent countless hours, time, and money trying to get the benelli to perform up to half, of the hype, shooting all kinds of shot and choke combos, only to come up disipointed. I know you are suposed to call the bird inside of 40 yds, and if you do, you should be ok with the benelli, but I keep hearing all the tv shows, and people who I come in con-tact with, talking about killing birds out beond 40 yds, all the way out to 70+ yds, PLEASE, with all the new hunters getting into the sport, there is going to be a lot of wounded birds out there. all of my testing, 35 yds or less, and you will be just fine, any thing over that, its get very, very, marginal. I have found that any-thing over 40 yds, and you start to have so many holes in the pattern, that all of the planets will have to line up just right, you get the picture. for all of the new hunters, please know your gun's limits.
  8. what kind of TRUE patterns, are you guys really getting, on the sbII? I have read some of your postings about 55 - 60 pallets in a turkeys head at 55 yds. as for me, I only count the actuall pellets in the kill zone(brain or neck bone) AND ANY-THING PAST 35 YDS, IS STRETCHING IT. I have a 1100, that will almost out shoot the sbII.(using 3" shell. it will) I have tried about 10 chokes, including the famous 660 rhino, and still not impressed, I think the real problem with the benelli is, the bore size is too small. would like to see some of your pics. of patterns, at true measured yds, and know what pellet count you are getting at 30yds,40yds, and 50 yds, inside a 10" cycle?
