  1. I was pulling for them in the finals. But in my opinion I hate to see a game won in goal kicks. Wish they would have just kept playing. Thats beside the point, it was an awesome game.
  2. I also have a limb saver pad on my gun and it takes a noticable amount of recoil out of 2 3/4" trap loads, 3" waterfowl magnums and 1 oz slugs. You can find one for around $30. Just to throw another idea out there. I bought a shell stock holder( for about $5) and put 5 buck shot loads on it, and it almost acted like a mercury recoil reducer. It isn't bolted on the gun, but it does add weight to the stock which I noticed helped reduce recoil. If you wanted to you could but fishing weights where the shells would go or something like that to reduce recoil. A link is below to something similar to what im talking about.... http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.TextId?hvarTextId=19767&hvarDept=400&hvarEvent=&hvarClassCode=4&hvarSubCode=9&hvarTarget=browse
  3. As for home defence ammo, I would recommend buck shot. I use 00 in a 3 inch shell that has 15 pellets. Really any buck shot size will work but I would go to much smaller then #1. But to each his own. As for bird shot, its name says it all. It's for use on birds, not some one threatening you life. Bird shot does not penetrate enough to be consitantly effect. Slugs will put anyone down, but penetrate alot and if you have loved ones in the house it can be dangerous. Hope this helps.
  4. JasonH im also in nc and ordered my nova through a gun shop called davis. hears there link http://www.davisguns.com/ I dought they will have the ultra light in stock but im almost sure they could special order you one. I wasnt trilled with there costumer service but i go my gun in one peice so im happy with that. They hung up on my twice when i called to see if my nova came in and they said 2 weeks, 3 at the max and they called me to say it came in over a month later. In store they where very helpful though.
  5. Look in to limbsavers slip on recoil pad. They are alot softer then the factory ones and it takes alot of recoil out of my nova 12 ga.
  6. I was thinking of buying a tac star side saddle mount for my nova so i would have easier access to extra shells to reload. I was wondering if anyone has used one and how you like the side saddle mount. I was looking at some and just wondered how well the shells fit and if it held them tight enough so they wouldnt slip out. Also if the mount got in the way or not. Any comments are welcome.
  7. thanks for the reply. I saw those and was wondering if anyone has tried one and how good the quality was for about $50 . Ill propably go with a factory mag if i can find on at a good price. If you do try one let me know how you like it. [ 04-06-2006, 02:43 PM: Message edited by: Novaduckhunter ]

  9. Ha everyone. Just found this site and need some help. I just got a Benelli nova and would like to get some accessories. Ive been looking into mag extensions and have found a Tac Star 2 shot extension for a great price. I was wondering if anyone has used or owns a tac star or other extension tube and could recommend the tac star and other models of extensions. Any comments are welcome.
