GunCoat Northwest does a really good job. I've already contacted them about doing my stocks up for me
-
did you find out what they are working on??....maybe I should Email this fella and see if we can't get a sneak peek or something
-
Hmmm, this sounds like a problem Tucker needs to help you with...I don't know if I would mess with the recoil spring. is the shotty new?

wingbone's tactical M4

Ok, I have my new M4 and it is nice. It was very easy to add my 2 shot extension tube after removing the spring. I cleaned it up, added oil and put it together. Wow its nice looking and now time to go shoot it. I now need to buy a Cyl choke for the M4 so I can shoot slugs becuase it only came with a Mod choke.
This is my third Benelli the other two are, SBE II and the Nova pump both in 26". I will try out the Hornaday 00 buck tap round with 8 pellets and see what type of pattern . I will need to get a tritium front sight and look for a sling. I need the sling for Transitions from rifle to handgun.
Congrats on your new shotgun....you will soon notice that you do not shoot your other shotguns much at all anymore, then you will find you cant stop adding slings, full length tubes, vertical grips, lasers, optics, stand off devices, railed handguards, bipod, bayonet lugs.....beer tap, maybe even gernade launcher until it weighs sooo much you need help to field it

Who else could have designed the perfect shotgun besides Chuck Norris?
I bet if Chuck Norris would carry two Benelli's on his person at all times if it wasnt for the fact his round house kicks wasnt more powerful than the combined blast of 100 shotguns already

Took me a long time to get to this point....got a tip on a SBE selling for around 500 and I couldn't believe it when the wife said go for it....oh yeah, I wrote that one down to read later I was told that the gun didn't cycle reloads and that it shot high. I wasn't worried because I've heard on this forum how good CS is at Benelli. The recoil spring hadn't ever been cleaned, and this gun was supposedly purchased back in '97 or '98. The gun now cycles like a dream. I put some heat to the recoil tube near the base and was able to back the plug out and clean the tube and the spring, and lightly reoil.
Now here is the question....the stock retaining bolt, that screws into the tube, was cut short so the previous owner could get a socket on it...apparently didn't have a 6" extention. How long is this bolt supposed to be? I was able to start a 8 mm nut in order to back the threads back off, but is that bolt a fine or course threaded 8mm? Anyone know? CS was not able to help.
Now all I have to do is find out if shim A will solve the low POI and I'm good to go. Curious, when did they go with the raised rib, this barrel is almost like a Monte and don't know if it's the gun or me.
Sorry for the long post...lots of great info here, thanks for the shortening the homework!
Tucker will be on shortly and I'm sure he will have the answer all typed out in detail for you before he has his first cup of coffee this morning

I visited SIDEARMOR's website tonite and no mounting system for the BENELLI M4/1014 anyone heard anything? Did they discontinue making rail systems for the Benelli M4??
M-401 Picatinny Rail Interface for Benelli M4/M1014 Shotguns!
This Interface system features:
Dual Mil-Spec M1913 Picatinny rails for mounting lights such as those from Insight/Streamlight and Surefire
Wraparound clamping system for secure lockup. Clamps only to the barrel and does not interfere with the mag tube
Ideal placemnt of light for easy operation with thumb, forefinger or remote switch
Field strips with the weapon. No need to remove the mount to service your shotgun.
Laser-retentive. You do not need to remove your laser from the mount to field strip the weapon.
Weighs only 4oz. Does not adversly affect the balance and pointability of the weapon
CNC Machined from 6061-T6 aircraft grade billet aluminium
Mil-spec (MIL-A-8625) Type III hard anodized
Optional Receiver Rail for mounting any optics system including red-dot/night vision combinations
UPDATED: This mount now fits BOTH military (one piece mag tubes) and civilian (two-piece mag tubes) versions.
This item is currently available and can be purchased online here. sidearmor.com

I am looking for recommendations for a tactical light system for the M4. I am new to the tactical shotgun arena and would appreciate some insight from the pros. Thanks in advance.

Any problems with thesheels falling out with magnum loads.. I am wondering because I'm researching and want to get the 8 shot saddle for a m4, and have had nothing but problems on my m1's and m3 ???
just put one on my M1014 last week, talked with the fella from Mesa for a long time on the phone about this problem and he explained to me that with the new material they are using now that holds the shells in that this would no longer be an issue....I held off for a long time putting one on mine, after putting it on I can't believe I waited! one of the best additions to my shotty for sure. plus this would be another U.S. made part twords your total count

And why are you posting this political drivel here?
I researched the case, and it appears to me that the USDA acted within the law.
These people were operating an illegal preserve (mammalian preserves are illegal in VA). Virginia law prevents the operation of such preserves in order to preserve the integrity of indiginous species and to guard against the introduction of exotic diseases into livestock and wild populations.
Having moved their operation from one county to the next and not obtaining the proper permits, the owners violated the law.
Whether they were aware of the violations or not is up for debate, but it is a moot point.
If I drive 90 mph down the Interstate, I can't claim that I didn't law stated the limit was 65.
Could argue the point all day, but this is not the place.
Take it elsewhere.
you go Tuck!

The Pentagon announced TODAY the formation of a new 500-man elite fighting unit called the United States Redneck Special Forces (USRSF)
These Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, West Virginia, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas boys will be dropped off into Iraq and have been given only the following facts about terrorists :
1. The season opened today.
2. There is no limit.
3. They taste just like chicken.
4. They don't like beer, pickup trucks, country music, or Jesus.
5. They are directly responsible for the death of Dale Earnhardt.
The Pentagon expects the problem in Iraq to be over by Friday
