Scranton, I wanted to let you know before you spend $750 on a new stock that your "fake" retractable stock is actually not fake at all. Once you get the tube machined, your stock will work. jhoffg

blood hound, It appears you've got a earlier 11707 that was purchased when Benelli was still selling them with the retractable stocks. The LE markings do not distinguish a 11707 from an M1014. The LE markings were orginally only used during the AWB period for law enforcement agencies but there has been a crop of LE marked receivers showing up lately and sold as standard 11707's. Benelli is probably just clearing out some old stock. The civilian model M1014 was made during the AWB period and has an American flag on the right-side of the receiver, fixed choke, and a retractable stock that would not retract due to not having the proper grooves machined into the stock guide post (per AWB). This model was also limited to 2500 units and thus become the limited edition model that people sometimes talk about here. Hope that helps. jhoffg

I also have both a standard M4 and M4LE (both marked 11707 on box). From what I understand the "LE" is for Law Enforcement and not for Limited Edition. These receivers were made during the AWB period for law enforcement agencies and once the AWB lapsed there was no requirement to label them LE any longer (kind of like the LE/Restricted stamped AR-15's). So essentially they are now the same as the 11707 and are marked as such by Benelli. In a nutshell It appears that you've purchased one of the mysterious LE marked 11707's that have been cropping up lately. Nice! jhoffg

I just found a little more information that adds to the intrigue (confusion?). There is a sticker on the outside of my M4 LE box that appears to have been placed there at a later date than the original. My first M4 (non-LE) did not have a sticker like that. Could Benelli have pulled these and switched barrels before they were shipped? Or maybe there was some kind of recall from the dealers/distributor? Anyway, I will attempt to post pics. I just picked up my M4 and it has the additional LE marking. It was packaged as a model 11707 and is date coded BU (2004) and has a 2-port barrel. It has the standard pistol-grip stock and the fake mag extension. Receiver: Y0087XX Barrel: TM177XX jhoffg

Hello, Searching this forum, I haven't found a definative answer to the question: Will a M1 Super 90 pistol grip stock (part # 80046P) fit the newer M2 and SBE II models WITHOUT modification? I realize based on part numbers the answer is no, but has anyone actually tried it?? Thanks! Jon
