  1. Tren, no, this sure cycle item is simply a replacement of the spring housing tube and spring itself which is in the stock; it is made of stainless steel and resistant to corrosion. I completely disassembled my M1 last night and the stock tube and spring are in fine shape, just a little dirty. My plan at this point is to clean it up and use Flitz to polish the inside of the tube as a final step, then very lightly oil with synthetic oil and reassemble.
  2. I have an M1 Super 90 mf'd in 2000. Had some cycling problems for the first time from the gun on a dove hunt this past weekend, and from everything I've read on the forums here, its got to be the recoil spring. I've looked at the sure cycle deal on the internet and was wondering if any members have had any experience with replacing the stock system with this stainless steel replacement?
  3. Has Benelli ever produced, or does it currently produce a semi auto 22 magnum autoloading pistol?
  4. Chances are that the blued piece you're talking about is the magazine limiter stop. They are known to break off (free) of the aluminum mag limiter tube. I fixed mine years ago by VERY CAREFULLY putting the solid aluminum tube piece back on the mag limiter stop washer and striking it and kind of 'annealing' it back together. Never had another problem; just be careful you don't bend the aluminum tube limiter.
  5. Yes to the question, but only with Estate Cartridge Heavy Game Loads, #6 shot; 3 and one quarter dram powder with 1 and one eight shot charge. Noticed the other day a difficulty feeding into the receiver, but not with the other shells. I'm still experimenting......do not attribute the problem to the gun but to the shells: they seem to have a "burred" head. Only happened to me once, though. Just F.Y.I.
  6. Well, since Tucker put me on the watch list all I can say is after reading all of the above I want a shogun shell that dispenses pellets with fins on them.
  7. Heck, last weekend I shot a fiberglass mannequin at the Fort Bliss gun range with my M2 with winchester slugs down a smoothbore and it exploded in a thousand pieces at 80 yards. Found the torso and I hit it right where I aimed with the ghost ring sight. FYI.

    Tactical slings

Looks like good stuff; I had to make my own out of designs similair; on the Border things get fun....and barrels definitely get hot; read more in the press later............

    Tactical slings

Is there a need out there for 1" tactical slings that fit our Benelli Shotguns? Just a little question that I thought I'd take a poll on.......
  10. Couple of questions on this thread: 1. I have an M2 which uses criochokes; I presume the barrel itself is NOT criotreated? 2. Is there any reason you must crio treat the receiver AND the barrel together, or can you just do the barrel? 3. Is it relatively safe for the finish?
  11. I recently purchased a SuperNova tactical with 18 inch barrel, ghost ring sights and the full stock pistol grip. In a nutshell, I love the gun. I've learned to relieve alot of the pressure on my shoulder my balancing the recoil between my hand and my shoulder. It worked like a charm this past dove season. Took the gun in dark closet before I posted to you and no, the sights are not night sights, just bright white paint.
  12. I have an M2. It uses Criochoke tubes. I bird hunt with it but might run a slug through it if opportunity presents itself. Question is, can't seem to locate a cylinder bore choke tube, is a "skeet" choke tube more open or more constrictive than a cylinder bore choke tube?
  13. Hey guys.....I'm probably a little older than y'all, but I'll tell you that WD 40 is basically highly refined kerosene in propellant form. It's great for cleaning, but like some of the prior posts indicate, leaving it on the piece will attract dirt. I still use it to clean my guns (M2 and Supernova) because it breaks up the gunk. I then use synthetics for the final lube up. I ordered some synthetic aerosol spray from Royal Purple and am tryin it out. will let the formus know after this weekend. F Y I
  14. I tend to agree with HDRDKG; I also own one and was hunting with it and found a short stroke on the pump forearm will fail to feed a shell. Shot it a bunch more, lubed it several times and tried to repeat the same malfunction and it wouldn't repeat the error. One other suggestion, take out the mag tube plastic feed (red) and de-bur/smooth the ridges on it somewhat and that might help. lol
  15. Hey Red Willie--MyBoyElRoy knows his ****; I've been to Mexico whitewing hunting in years past and the last trip I swore I'd NEVER DO IT AGAIN with my own gun. Long story made short big hassle by some Rurales, which is the country version of a Federale down there, and my paperwork was in order. As an aside, their shells will not hurt your gun. Walmart chinese firecrackers would do worse. Lastly, I was hunting in South Texas 9-22-06 and heard some horror stories about hunting with the Mexicans in the Yucatan, if that's where you're going. Bad service, too many hands out for your pesos, etc... By the way, if you shoot alot and have the doves made into Tamales, when you get to the Border tell Customs they are tamales de gato, not tamales paloma. Good luck.

    PROUD NEW OWNER M2

I, too just opted for the M2. What a cool gun. shot a round of skeet here in el paso and actually blasted 2 of the clay pidgeons at once. Talk about a double!
  17. I'm a knife aficionado; go to bladeforums.com; if that doesn't work get some Flitz blue polish (made in Germany) if that doesn't take it out it's all over but the cryin
  18. To start out, I'm new to this forum, but have had an M1 Super 90 Benelli 12 forever and love it. Needed a pump 12 for a duty weapon and bought the Super Nova 12 with a pistol grip stock and the ghost ring sight barrel. On takedown, the trigger assebmbly WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT COME OUT PER THE MANUAL. The pistol grip stock interferes with it's removal. I studied it left and right. Had to shave the stock some in the mating area of the trigger guard but I'm good with heat; Benneli is going to have a helluva problem unless mine was some kind of prototype. Suggestions/Input?
