Used my R-1 300wm with the same scope to take to double broomer ram aged at 12 years old at 400 yards. I think the R-1 and Leupold VX-L 3.5-10 x 50mm (B&C) make a deadly combo!!!!!

The big 50mm opening allows alot more light, also the bell cut out allows for very low mounting. This rifle scope combo comes up to the eye very quickly. That moose was hand carried to a raft and floated 20 miles down an Alaskan river.

I have my R-1 topped with the same scope. I love mine, shoots great. I get MOA with mine. Shot this moose at 325 yards. Hit him 4 out of 4 shots, all within a pie plate, plus he was moving after the first shot.

I own the R-1 Comfortec in 300 WM, would like to try a barrel change to make it 325 WSM for bear hunting. Has anyone saw the barrel kits for sale???? [email protected]

Just the 3 so far, I love my R-1. I have a bad back and I bought my R-1 because I wanted a big boom with a small amount of recoil. I stayed in the scope for all 4 shots on the Moose and for 2 shots on the Ram. I have over 15 other rifles and My R-1 is my Favorite. It will put 4 180 grain Barnes bullets down range in a hurry. Will try to add a Black bear and a Browie to my R-1s resume this coming year. Steve

Shot this Bou @ 50 yards, not a far shot but he moving like his but was on fire. Got to love fast follow-up shots. Killed the moose and this Bou on the same hunt.

Shot this guy at 325 yards, gave him 4 shots all within a pie plate. The 1st shot went thru both shoulders. The last broke his back, 180 barnes x bullets.
