    SBE2 Quality?

I continue to be amazed at the large number of problems experienced by Benelli SBE2 owners. For an expensive shotgun, that is intolerable. My son got a SBE2 about a year ago and he has experienced loading and misfiring problems too. Customer remarks in the forums indicate that the Benelli repair shop competency is marginal at best. Although some owners have had no problems, quality control seems poor. I have owned and used and continue to use a Remington Model 1100 12 gauge that I bought about 1958. I don't know how many shells I've fired in it, but it's a lot. And it has NEVER failed to load and fire.
  2. Wingshooting with a shotgun is done by pointing the gun at the target, not by aiming at it with the sights as is done with rifle shooting.
  3. Tucker301, I am amazed that an expensive shotgun like the Benelli SBE2 has so many problems, judging by the large number of them posted in the forums. My son had a similar magazine loading problem with his SBE2 when it was brand new, about a year ago. We didn't try to fix it but I think it has eased somewhat now. I have a 12ga Remington Model 1100 that I bought around 1958 and still use today. It has been through a lot of mucky situations but has NEVER failed to load or fire.

    SBE2 misfiring?

My son recently purchased an SBEII. On a hunt last week, the gun would not fire a number of times. In each case, there was a shell in the chamber and, despite flipping the safety on and off several times, it would not fire. He completely unloaded the chamber and the magazine and then reloaded. It then fired the shell in the chamber but would not fire again. Pls advise.
