Both of my M 1's and all of the M 1's i've worked on pull out with little more than a "strong steady pull".

Dukdude, the safety can be switched from right to left-handed. It does require more than a simple fieldstripping and should probably be done by either a gunsmith or a Benelli Armourer. There are some very small parts (pins and spring) involved in the process. It should only take a 'smith or an armourer a few minutes to make the change.

Thanks Chad...I just put a Williams peep on my Knight Bighorn and I couldn't agree with you more! If all else fails, I might just get it drilled/tapped and scope it out!

Thanks for the help! Doesn't appear to be a way to shim the rear sight...when I removed the screw in the base, it appears that the ramp is also brazed or soldered to the barrel. I've been trying to find replacement sight blades but the dovetails don't fit the replacement blades. I'll check with one of the local Benelli dealers to see if they have any ideas

Wondering if anyone has had the same problem? I have a rifled ER Shaw for my M1. I cannot get enough elevation with the exsisting sights...slugs are patterning 8" low at 50 yards. Does anyone know of replacement sights that can resolve this problem?
