My local gun dealer, whom is usually pretty on the ball, is telling me that adding the 2 shot extension would make the gun illegal and I would deep in deep crap if I was caught with it. Anyone has any insight here? They said if it did not have the pistol grip there would be no problems doing it.

From what I know, no M series parts are interchangable. If you want to mount something on top of the receiver, you need a Weaver 423M base. About $10, and you have to pop out the plastic rivets to mount it up.

I paid $400, but there is a shortage of them around here.

Nice mount. I am looking to toss on the same mount and a Bushnell Trophy MP. I that a universal TacStar shell holder? I know Mesa Tactical has one that installs in the rear sling mount, and I head they were coming out with a unit similar to the one they make for the M series.
