Well, I have the retaining nut out but that is as far as I have gotten. The swing swivel plate should slip out and the stock should pull off, right? But the stock is on solid. The stock retaining piece won't budge either.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
James

Chrom answered your question. As sent from the factory the M4 holds five 2 3/4" shells in the magazine tube. Seven with the mag extension.

Welcome to the Forum. The leo/military version of the 1014 had the full length tube and the telescoped stock that worked as it should. The civilian M1014, with the American flag embossed on the right side receiver, had the restricted five round tube and fixed collapsible stock. I'm sure a letterhead from your supervisor would get you the real deal without having to fit a full tube yourself. Keep us informed as to what you end up with.

Benelli as of six weeks ago will sell the M4 skeleton stock to Class 3 dealers only. No Class 1 FFL's are allowed to sell them.

I believe those limited edition was the M1014 with the American flag embossed on the right side of the receiver.
Supposed to be 2500 issued.

Thanks D, it might help reading the owners manual. I saw that with it showing the pistol grip with callapsible stock in the schemetics but had it in my head the pistol grip stock came off like the M3.
Thanks for the info.
