  1. My choke tube is out and I didn't have to visit a gunsmith. Yeah! My husband inserted the choke wrench and extended the handles with box-end wrenches to increase leverage for twisting. It came out hard! What caused this problem? When I was in Argentina, I did some heavy shooting. My gun was cleaned each night by my bird boy, but he forgot to remove the choke tube and I never checked it. Shame on me! (For some reason mine was the only gun that was not cleaned properly) Lesson Learned - If you are going to do heavy shooting, remove the choke tube with each cleaning. Or some would suggest that you clean your choke tubes every time you clean your gun. I love my Benelli!
  2. Help! My choke tube is stuck in my Benelli Montefeltro 20-gauge shotgun. I have asked every strong man I know and it is not budging. I recently took the gun to Argentina dove hunting so it may be all the recent activity that has contributed to this problem. What is the proper way to get the choke tube out of my gun?
  3. Thank You everyone for all the great suggestions! I must admit, if my Benelli came with a set of extended color-coded chokes I would be a very happy girl! They are expensive!
  4. How comfortable is your daughter when a gun? I've organized several women's skeet leagues and sporting clay shoots and I've discovered before you can teach them leads and follow-through you need to let them overcome their fear of guns. Men typically have had guns in their hands from a young age, but not many women/girls. My recommendation: 1) First let her just shoot the gun not worrying about how many targets she hits. 2) Focus on only three points/lessons at a time. Men have a wealth of knowledge, but us ladies sometimes feel overwhelmed with too much information. Try a 3-point message every time you take her out shooting. Only progress to the next 3-points when she is ready. For example, I always start with these three points 1) Proper Gun Stance 2) Proper Shouldering of the Gun 3) Not lifting her head from the barrel. 3) Lots of encouragement. If she hits one, shout Woo Hoo. Hats off to you for taking the time to introduce her to a sport that she may become to love!
  5. I was just wondering if anyone knows why color-coded chokes are not readily available for all shotguns models. Is there a patent? Is it the cost? What's preventing color-coded chokes from becoming as common as color-coded ps/2 devices for your computer? Thanks,
