  1. I use hevi #5 31/2 inch with a carlson superfull choke. It patterns 12 pellets at 65 yards. I'm a novice turkey hunter so ill take a shot when I see one. Its doesn't matter if its 20 yards or 60. turkey hunting a little different where I go. Iv'e got the "if its brown its down theory", if I see a turkey, its in the bag.

  2. tucker is right. I don't have a 22 savage but I do have a 22-250 and a .223 savage and they are both great guns. Sorry mr.military, CZ rifles and savage rilfes aren't in the same ballpark. CZ rifles cost 3 times what a savage cost. (cz .22 573.00 msrp and savage .22 181.00 msrp).

  3. my uncle one year forgot to put in his turkey choke before he left for his turkey hunting weekend. He was shooting 3 1/2 #5 but he only had in his IC choke. He patterned it before he went out and he shot a great pattern at 20 yards. So he went out and got a bird that day at 18 yards. So I would say the full choke would be just fine for about 5 depending on the load your shooting.

    good luck

  4. goose,

I just everything but is the question you have with cs something that any of us can answer. I'm pretty sure that tucker or hog can answer it. (they always do.)

p.s. If you asked the question and got a answer they I just can't read very well

  5. I have a recoil reducer for one of my nova's I use for just waterfowl. But the extra pound makes a big differance when your walking 4 mile through peasant fields or though miles of timber looking for turkey. The limbsaver pad works great to.

    HALE TO THE NOVA'S!!!

  6. I used 26 inch on my 20 gauge. for small game. I use 24 inch 12 gauge for turkey. and I use 28 inch 12 gauge for duck and geese. It doesn't matter what you use, It matters what your comforable with.
