    SBE2 & Nasty Kick

I to am a new benelli owner having purchased an original sbe late last fall. I was at first surprised by the amount of recoil these guns have while shooting sporting clays but after a few rounds you really do get used to it and have plenty of time to rest your shoulder while the other autos in your group are clearing their jams. Yesterday I took my first 2 geese with this gun using 3 1/2's and honestly can say that I didn't feel it at all with the excitement of the moment.Give yourself a bit of time with this gun and you'll most likely find yourself quite happy. I have heard good things about the limbsaver recoil pad so this is something you may want to try. Hope this helps and good luck whatever you do.
  2. Only advice I can give you is that recently I purchased a used sbe and it had the d shim installed and it shot incredibly low compared to what I am used to. Perhaps try a different shim until it shoots how you like. Good luck

    sbe shims

Was just wondering what shims most guys are using in there sbe's. I bought a used h&k sbe a while back but find that the gun seems to shoot low compared to the o/u's I normally use. The gun came with the D shim installed and I have ordered the others. Whats the set up thats working for most of you guys. Thanks Joe
  5. Thanks for the replies guys. I guess I'll have to go with the grind to fit pad. Thanks again
  6. Hello everyone New to the site and to benelli's as well so please bear with me. I recently purchased a 95 h&k benelli sbe and tried fitting one of the limbsaver precision fit pads to it but its just to big. It sticks out an eighth of an inch all around the edge of the stock. I've checked the number and its the right one #10401 for a wood stock. My question is has anyone else had this problem and would this pad actually lessen the recoil over the stock pad. Thanks for the space Joe
