  1. Not real life? Your comments obviously have a real life effect on people since you have had to defend your self against two different people in one post here. You need to grow up and start respecting those of us with less experience with these guns. The people with the low post numbers on here are obviously new customers and will have questions. I'm sure that Benelli sponsored this forum so experienced owners could help the new guys, and it's a shame people like you have to take it upon yourself to turn this into your own personal wrestling mat. I'll be calling Benelli with my questions and I will definately suggest they take a look at the harm some of the bullys are doing on their forum.
  2. Good for you, you have more buddies than I do. You're the man. This is the exact pissing contest that chases people off your board. Thanks for all the help?
  3. I agree with the bad treatment of people with benelli complaints chasing people away. I just bought a SBEII last week and I checked out the archives of this forum before buying the gun. There were some good posts, but most often anyone with a good legitimate problem was dogged for being an idiot and not knowing how to operate or maintain the firearm. A lot of good posts that had valuable info were dead-ended by people blindly standing behind Benelli and not believing someone may have actually gotten a bad gun. I suppose this is the place for hardcore Benelli supporters, but in order to move forward we have to help people with problems rather than getting out the torches and chasing them out of town. Three of my close hunting buddies have been shooting the SBE I model benelli for the last several years. The third guy to get his had nothing but problems. The gun had to be sent-in and gone through before it worked properly. Sometimes you just get a bad one.
  4. Hello, I have been shooting a remington 11-87 for the last several years and finally destroyed it. I just picked up the SBE 2 last week and I have a few questions. What are people doing to keep the recoil pad from falling out? Is the oil that comes with the gun any good, or is there a prefered aftermarket product? I was reading on the forums that the black finish on the gun may be prone to rust. I duck hunt a lot and I dont really like cleaning guns. I got the benelli due to the non-gas operated system not getting dirty as quickly and therefore requiring less cleaning. Do I need to coat this gun with oil to prevent rust? I dont want to hear a bunch of Benelli flag waving, I just want to hear the truth about the metal on the gun. The remington was a rust prone gun, and my friends with SBE 1 models never had any rust complanints. This was another reason I decided on the Benelli. Did they change something between the SBE 1 and 2 models in regards to the metal or finish?
