  1. I ordered two tubes, but in the 3mo wait caused by the current market conditions, I sold one of my M4s. So now I have an extra tube. It's the pakerized titanium tube with spring and follower.

This tube isn't for just anyone - it's only for the guy who absolutely can't stand to wait. If you don't have to have your tube right away, Kip will get one to you. But if you've just GOT to have it now . . . $285 + $15 Priority Mail shipping.

I would say "first person to PM me" but if you're willing to pay the premium to not wait, you probably don't need to be told to "act now" ;)

  2. funny but my kid has only been to range 5-6 times all with long guns maybe 1 time hand gun and she shoots this glock like a damn pro. at 15 yrds she blow out the X no problem. only 2 times with hand gun

in summer when she is out of school I am getting her (and myself) so instruction and then inter her in some comps

I shot competition long gun (.22) in high school. My Jr. year we were state champs, our captain was a female. She also won a state championship in black powder. My Sr. year I was #2 individual in the state, #1 was a female. I learned early that women are natural shooters. Seeing a girl pick up a gun for the 1st and take out an x ring wouldn't even make me blink. My wife's been on a range only twice and outshoots most men.

  3. I was thinking about adding a full length mag and the promag stock to my other m4 in order to sell it. But I'll have to be honest, I was hoping to get a little more than this current GB listing http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=318448505

You may want to double check the 922r with the seller. I'm no expert, but my understanding is you have to replace 4 parts when using the factory c-stock. I only count 3 eligible parts in his listing (mag, follower, forend) but my understanding may not be correct.

  4. Wait, this isn't Gunbroker or somebody's shop. This is a discussion group. I come here for information and to get smarter (ok, information will do). If someone lists something for sale, I appreciate the opinions on quality and price. This IS the appropriate place for it!

If someone starts dogging somebody's price in their store - that's wrong. But this isn't a store (or marketplace) it's a discussion board and there should be discussion. Granted, it doesn't have to be a rip.

  5. I seriously, seriously doubt it. Why would they offer a combat shotgun in anything smaller than 12 gauge? Where are you seeing this?

The m4 page only shows 2 possible configurations, black and desert, both in 12 gauge ...

    It's on the M4 main page http://www.benelliusa.com/shotguns/benelli_m4.php

    1st paragraph "Now the same Benelli M4 used by the U.S. Marine Corps . . . the 12-gauge shotgun and 20-guage shotgun . . ."

I'm guessing it's either a big typo or we just learned what's comming out in '09.

  6. The M4 comes in a 20 guage? "Now the same Benelli M4 used by the U.S. Marine Corps can be your home defense shotgun of choice. When the U.S. Marine Corps went shopping for a shotgun, they bought the M4 — the 12-gauge shotgun and 20-gauge shotgun that functions the first time, every time."

The new site is a definite improvement.

P.S. If you want to view websites - just use IE and quit wasting you time trying to make something else work just because it doesn't say "*********". :-)

  7. The M2 is slightly lighter, so it will have slightly more recoil.

    Shotgunners aren't concerned with recoil.

    Are you a shotgunner?

In a really cranky mood Tucker?

  8. I would still like to buy one of your skeleton stocks when they are ready. Have you thought about offering a complete package with your bolt handle, mag tube/spring and skeleton stock? I would be interested in that and i'm sure others would be too.

Ditto - I'd be interested in a complete package too.

  9. I have the same feelings about attaching a rail that requires a hex wrench to remove in order to field strip a weapon that was designed to be tooless. Granted, I'm not in the field needing to strip my weapon but it still bothers me :-)

I also don't want to replace my forehand grip with rails, it's just not comfortable to me. I would be interested in an integrated light/forehand grip like what SureFire has for the other Super 90s.

Sidearmor seems to have the best concept I've seen (sidearmor.com) but it's pricey - you can find them on gunbroker for a little less but still close to $300.

I don't know - are rails worth $300? I have no idea what it would cost to mfg something like this so I can't really tell if it's a fair price or marked up for a niche market.

  10. Brenneke claims their 3" 12ga Black Magic Magnum will shoot 3" groups at 100 yrds from a smooth bore. They claim some of their other slugs are highly accurate beyond 100 yrds but don't specify group patterns. But who cares, the Black Magic is just awesome! NOTE: It's going to cause a lot of damage to whatever it hits.

  11. Somehow I feel we owe you a debt of gratitude my friend. I was "told" in my initial quest that those parts and related parts could not be found domestically. Time to re-evaluate cost, for the better of course.

UNSC - if you ever come to Texas I'll buy you a drink! $500 would take some thought (I'd prob still do it but would really have to be convinced) - $300 would be a no-brainer.

The real question is what M4 sales have been like to LE in the US? They would represent an ongoing market reguardless of political changes.

A quick market survey could probably be accomplished by e-mailing Benelli dealerships and asking how many they thought they could sell if you sold through them at each price point.

  12. I like the idea of a group purchase. It would give you a known quantity and us a price break?

I think all of us are a little nervous about price - that would be the biggest issue and you've indicated that they would be at or above current market prices of the Benelli stocks. I've not convinced myself to pay that much for one yet. However, if pricing were able to come in under the current range I beleive the volume could be very strong - who ownes an M4 and doesn't want the "cool" factor stock? :-) Oh yeah, I think there's some tactical advantage to it but I'm not sure it matters. :-)

  13. "he hates semi auto because you lose stopping power in the round."

Now that's funny! Guess the militaries of the world missed that memo (incl. the US selection of the Benelli M4).

Some energy from the firing of a round is used to work the mechanism, but it's so small that it's completly insignificant.

Hey, if your not convinced, just fire 2-3 rounds while he's chambering his 2nd.
